Jackson Modern wins Golden Hammer Award

Last week, Historic Richmond and the Storefront for Community Design announced the 2017 Golden Hammer Award winners. The jury selected 8 projects out of 48 submissions in the Richmond area. We are thrilled that our Jackson Modern project received an award for Best Adaptive Reuse. Check out the full list of 2017 winners below.

  • Small - Maggie Walker Community Land Trust, First Home

  • Large - Varina Area Library

Best Placemaking Project

  • Private - The Garden at Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church

  • Public - Maggie Lena Walker Memorial Plaza

Best Restoration Project

  • Small - Ledbury Flagship Store and Corporate Headquarters

  • Large - Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia
